Shock exit for Roger Federer

Novak Djokovic says his place in Sunday's Australian Open 2008 men's singles final is just reward for the hard work he has put in over the past 18 months.

The 20-year-old Serbian claimed the biggest win of his flourishing career on Day 12 at Melbourne Park, maintaining his record of winning each of his matches in straight sets with a 7-5 6-3 7-6 (7-5) win over world No.1 Roger Federer.

But while he was still pinching himself afterwards, having recorded just his second win in seven career meetings against the two-time defending champion, Djokovic was delighted with his reward.

"Well, honestly, everything is going so fast for me," he said. "As I was saying, if you tell me at the start of last year that I will play four consecutive semi-finals in Grand Slams and two finals, I would accept it right away."

"That's no doubt. So I can say that it's a little bit surprising. But, again, I've been working very hard in the past year-and-a-half, so it's paying off right now."

Djokovic dominated from the middle stages of the first set through to the same point of the second, claiming the first and setting himself up to do likewise in the second by winning five games in succession and nine out of 10.

And apart from the actual result itself, he added that perhaps the most pleasing aspect was that he had been able to withstand a strong Federer challenge in the third set before prevailing to set up his Sunday clash with unseeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

"Well, yes, that was one of the positive facts, I think, in tonight's match, I was able to deal with the pressure in the best possible way," Djokovic added. "And if you do that against the best player in the world, you know, you should get the positive outcome, which resulted of course with the win tonight."

"I'm very happy that in crucial moments my serve was serving me, and it was probably my best element in the game tonight in the important moments. So it is a positive thing for the future."

When Federer served for the first set at 5-3 many observers may have felt that he was well on the way to his fifth Melbourne Park final in six years but his 19-match winning streak at the year's first Grand Slam was ended as Djokovic maintained his faith.

"I was just trying to keep the momentum, you know, just keep it going, not to think about the circumstances, you know, I was a break down, I'm already looking at the second set," he said.

"No, I was trying to really focus and play basically every point every game. And only in that way, you know, I was able to win in the straight sets."

Having said immediately after defeating Federer that he felt like he not only had to beat the player on the other side of the net but also the crowd, Djokovic is hoping for a little more support against Tsonga.

"Today it was quite difficult for me," he said. "It's understandable crowd was a little bit more for him, because he's defending champion and No.1 player of the world. But hopefully it's going to be better in the next match. That's what I hope for."

"But as a finalist and as a pretty much experienced player I've been through a lot of situations like this, so this is another big experience for me, playing in front of a full house. You can't have always a crowd behind you. So we'll see what happens on Sunday."

With Tsonga set to light up Rod Laver arena one more time for this event on Sunday, Djokovic may again be forced to play the villain if he is to claim his maiden Grand Slam title but one gets the feeling he will have no problems dealing with that if necessary.

YSL

Its not the first time a fashion house has used to the medium of film to showcase its upcoming collections, Chalayan recently did the same, Margiela in the past amongst others, but it is unusual for such a big house and historically traditional company would take this approach. The seven minute long film was used to present YSL's Autumn/Winter Menswear collection, with creative director Stefano Pilati at the helm, Colonel Blimp’s Sarah Chatfield and Chris Sweeney were commissioned to create the film and present across 3 screens at last week's Paris fashion week. Watch the film here.

Um.. interesting

As is common practise, the brightest stars are lured into the biggest fashion houses to resurrect a brands image for the new world of fashion, its happened time and time again, the likes of Stella McCartney for Chloe, Hedi Slimane for Dior, Nicholas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, Margiela or Hermes and so on... it looks as though its happening again, this time london based Kim Jones, who's work under his own name has always shown a strong sense of street style and his onging Umbro collection has seen him see acclaim within streetwear circles will move his talents to the more established and traditional luxury label Dunhill.
Will be very interesting to see what him come up with, a very street fashion designer meet a very luxury label = ???
Guess we will have to wait n see..

Shocking News

An autopsy is scheduled in the tragic death of Heath Ledger for Wednesday, but it will be weeks at least before we have a conclusive answer as to his passing.

What is known now is that police are saying sleeping pills were found in the room where his body was discovered naked and dead on Tuesday.

Two bottles of sleeping aids were found, it's being reported, one prescription bottle and one over-the-counter, which would make an accidental overdose more likely. Experts say that it is harder to overdose on just prescription sleeping pills.

Growing up.

14 days into 2008 , a new yr r well underway, a yr older a yr wiser.
Alot had happen in 2007,many changes , many up n downs, its all in the past now, i feel as if i've grow up alot in 2007, not the kid i was , keep things to myself alot, doesn;t go out as much , lately i just don;t feel like goin out , 2007 is the yr i understand what the different between real gd fd to fd who u just hang round with.
2008 is the new yr for new start, newly single, just got out of a 5 yrs relationship, its funny, for the past 5 yrs , i always thought she is the one whos relying too much on me, but now when i come to think of it , i m the one whos relying on her, i always been a child, n she is the one who look after me, tell me when i did something wrong , when i mistreat a fd, etc, but i was so stubborn i just didn;t notice, m i sad we broke up ? well of coz after all we've together for 5 yrs , but on the other hand i m happy for her, coz she finally woke up , n notice what a jerk i've been , n notice we r goin in two separate way. i hope she will be able to find someone gd n get marry n have children. Its after the broke up i noticed she have taught me alot, taught me how to be a better human, maybe thats one of the reason i've been hidding ,apart from my real fd ( Connie, Doris , Canice etc ), oh n of coz my lady fd who been with me alot, takin me to movies , play , music show etc, which i enjoy very much, i know i have not been sayin thanks enough, so here i m sayin Thank you.. those r the fds who i feel really comfortable toward, which is very important, n comfortable talkin to about anything.
I know its abit cheesy to be writing this, but is it not what Blog suppose to be, talk about urself, i've been posting alot of stuff i like, which r the surface of myself , which is the downside of myself, only showin people the surface of myself, so i think its time to write something about myself, what i feel deep inside n maybe after a few yrs , i will be readin this back n will be laughing about how cheesy i was to type this haha, either way i hope 2008 will be a gd yr for everyone. thats me signing off for now .

Unknowing twins marry each other

"Unknowing twins marry each other
A set of British twins who were separated at birth went on to marry each other without realizing they were related, the UK Press Association reported Friday.

A set of British twins who were separated at birth went on to marry each other without realizing they were related, the UK Press Association reported Friday.

The brother and sister, who were adopted by separate parents, were given an annulment after a High Court judge ruled that the marriage had never been valid.

Their identities and details of their relationship have been kept secret, but the Press Association reported that the duo did not find out that they were blood relatives until after they were married.

David Alton, a member of the House of Lords, revealed their situation as a way of highlighting perceived shortcomings in the Human Embryology and Tissues Bill which is now going through Britain's Parliament.

He first heard of the twins' marriage in a conversation with a High Court judge, and initially raised the case in a House of Lords debate on December 10.

Alton said: "(The brother and sister) met later in life and felt an inevitable attraction, and the judge had to deal with the consequences of the marriage that they entered into and all the issues of their separation.

"I suspect that it will be a matter of litigation in the future if we do not make information of this kind available to children who have been donor-conceived."

Alton is concerned that the new bill would allow the biological identity of one parent to be removed from the birth certificate, PA reported, and that there would be no way for the child to know if they had been donor-conceived.

He told PA on Friday: "The state is colluding in a deception. We are opening the door to more cases like this one. One of the most fundamental things of all is to know who you are. The issue here is about human rights.

"A birth certificate that omits any mention of your true origin falsifies your history in a very significant way."

Football Fans

Football fan always amaze me, with the song they sang, the word they shout, something i think its very clever.

" We won't be signing u " QPR fans to an under-par Shaun Wright-Philips during their FA cup third-round tie at Chelsea.

" we forgot that u were here " QPR fans when Chelsea finally decided to start singing

" We forgot that u exist " Chelsea fan's reply

" You don;t know what u r doin " Baggies fans after a fan had his marriage proposal accepted by his girlfriend during half time at west Brom V Scunthrope

Lindsay Lohan beds Italian six hours after meeting him

A LUCKY rock drummer has told how he bumped into Hollywood babe Lindsay Lohan... and she DRAGGED him to her bed.
Wildchild Lindsay, 21, threw herself at stunned stranger Alessandro diNunzio in a bar at the Capri Film Festival.

First she invited him to a gala dinner and DEMANDED he kiss her. Then she led him back to her hotel room.

And less than six hours after they they met she suddenly STRIPPED off all her clothes and treated him to a night of naked red-hot lust.

"He grinned: "Lindsay was very, very good and surprisingly experienced. She wanted to do everything, every position. She was extremely flexible and adventurous."

But he discovered he was just one of THREE conquests Lindsay made during her 24 hours on the Italian island.

Alessandro, 27, who lives in Rome, said: "I was hurt and sad when I found out about the other guys.

"I think that's the way things are with Lindsay. But she was very sweet and loving in bed. It was a good sex match."

Alessandro, an ex-model who plays the drums in up-and-coming Italian indie rock band Orfen, was working at the film festival as a sound engineer.

He first spotted Herbie: Fully Loaded star Lindsay when they travelled on the same hydrofoil from Naples to Capri on December 28—but had no idea who she was.

He said: "She was wearing huge dark sunglasses—and she spent the entire journey turning to look over at me. When I went outside for a cigarette, she followed.

"She just kept staring at me. It was unnerving and I went back inside."

Alessandro did not see the mystery girl again until 8pm—when he was in a square. He said: "I spotted her in a bar with two friends and she beckoned me to come over.

"She introduced herself as Lindsay. It was only at the end of our conversation I suddenly clicked I was talking to Lindsay Lohan. I almost collapsed."

Vodka
Lindsay—who was in rehab last year—was then picked up to attend an awards ceremony.

But Alessandro said: "I couldn't believe it when she asked if I could come to the dinner afterwards. I was proud to accompany her—then she invited me to a couple of clubs with her two friends. Despite her recent troubles she was downing alcohol—vodka cranberry and vodka soda.

"All of a sudden, she pressed up close, looked me in the eyes and asked if she could kiss me. It was a strange role-reversal and it took me aback.

"But I came to my senses and kissed her. We did nothing but kiss in the club after that. She didn't care who was watching." The pair then went back to her hotel, The Marriott, at 2.30am.

Alessandro said: "I never imagined in my wildest dreams we would end up in bed. We spent a long time talking, lying side by side on top of her bed.

"She told me about her problems with drugs and alcohol. She said she was trying to get over them and that she'd spent time in a rehab clinic but didn't want to talk too much about that.

"She kept telling me she liked me because I was "a good boy"—I don't smoke or take drugs. She said she was falling for me, she liked me.

"I liked her too. The thing that struck me most about her was her intelligence—I found her very lucid and bright."

Suddenly, in mid-conversation, Lindsay jumped off the bed. Alessandro said: "She stripped off completely naked, without any embarrassment at all.

Naked
"She was wearing mismatched under-wear—a black bra with emerald green French knickers. But they came off too. Naked, she took my breath away. Lindsay is stunning. Her body is absolutely perfect. Flawless.

"She had an all-over golden tan and a few tattoos. On her right wrist was the word Breathe. She joked it was to remind her to keep breathing. That made me think she was pretty fragile.

"After boldly taking her clothes off she dived under the covers. I sensed she was insecure about her gorgeous body.

"I was shocked she had made the first move—it took a while for me to realise I was supposed to take my clothes too.

"To be honest I felt a bit intimidated. I was with Lindsay Lohan. But I took off my clothes and we started to make love. And then it was just like two ordinary people making love. It was very passionate and intense and lasted for 1hours, maybe more.
